A non-direct contact rotary interface uses a viscous fluid as the lubricant working medium. Because oil film friction coefficient formed is extremely small, so it has great application potential in sealing, transmission, thermosolutal convection, and bionics. Research on mechanical seals, wet clutches, dynamic load bearing have proven that micro-textures can effectively improve lubrication performance. However, when flows through texture boundary, pressure disturbances induce hydrodynamic cavitation. pair of rotating disks are selected our research objects. From simulation experiment research, we found cavitation volume does not always increase with an rate, occurs preferentially at outer diameter, necessary to avoid machining structure diameter seal end.
